SIPPO and Morocco Foodex support ASMEX and Moroccan companies in preparing for BIOFACH eSPECIAL 2021

The Moroccan participation in the organic trade fair Biofach last year was a great success. This is why SIPPO and Morocco Foodex continued to support and accompany companies in the digital edition of Biofach  which will take place from 17 to 19 February 2021.

SIPPO and Morocco Foodex support ASMEX and Moroccan companies in preparing for BIOFACH eSPECIAL 2021

This year, 11 companies and cooperatives operating in the organic sector (Saffron, argan oil, aromatic and medicinal plants, dates, fruits, and vegetables, etc.) will participate in the Morocco Foodex pavilion at Biofach, which will be held for the first time in a digital format due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A good preparation is crucial, and therefore the capacity building had started with the organization of a workshop on December 22, 2020 on behalf of the BSOs. The goal was to understand the difference between virtual and face-to-face contacts.  It was also helpful to share experiences in dealing with a virtual exchange during the first pandemic year in 2020, to get familar with the Biofach eSpecial 2021 platform, and to identify the types of support that the companies needed.

Subsequently, a second workshop was organized on on behalf of ASMEX and the companies participating in the fair. This workshop helped participants to understand the main features of the platform, the checklists for profiling, marketing and presentation tools.

In the last two weeks, individualized coaching sessions were conducted with each company and AMSEX, with the aim of strengthening the skills of the BSO and the companies, especially in the areas of communication, marketing, presentation techniques and acquisition.
